Privacy policy

When you create a monitor, MachuPing stores the account identifier and email address needed to manage your account and send alerts.

We store the routes, dates, party size, optional time-slot preferences, and monitor status you choose.

If you send a contact request, we store the email, name, topic, and message you provide so we can respond.

We may store operational records such as notification attempts, alert click events, and whether a monitor was created successfully.

Payment details are handled by secure checkout. MachuPing stores payment identifiers so we can activate paid monitoring setups and prevent duplicate activation.

MachuPing does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

We use your setup data to check selected Machu Picchu route/date targets and email you when matching availability appears or increases.

We use operational data to diagnose delivery issues, prevent abuse, and understand whether notifications are helping travelers.

MachuPing uses first-party cookies to remember an anonymous visitor id, a short-lived session id, and campaign attribution such as UTM parameters. This helps us understand whether SEO pages, forum links, or ads lead to setup, checkout, contact, or purchase events.

If PostHog tracking is configured, page views, Core Web Vitals, setup events, login events, checkout events, contact form events, provider redirects, and purchase events may be sent to PostHog for product analytics.

Browser settings, privacy tools, or ad blockers may prevent PostHog from loading in the browser. Server-side checkout, provider redirect, and purchase events may still be sent to PostHog so we can debug checkout, support, and notification problems.

MachuPing is an independent notification service. We do not sell your personal information.

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the product, including authentication, payment, hosting, analytics, and email delivery providers.

You can pause or delete monitors from the app dashboard.

You can send account, billing, or data-help requests through the public contact page.
